Upgraded: My own Windows 7!

In this post, I will make a small review on the things I like most out of Windows 7 which I installed days back. Let’s see:

Thumbnail preview: Hover on the icon and it will show thumbnails for the explorer (or the application) that are currently opened. Similar to Vista but smoother.

Application peek: Hover on the thumbnail and you will just see the application you want to see with the others being transparent.

Desktop peek: Hover to the Down-Right corner and you will get the preview of the destop while the applications turn transparent.

Instant recent history: Right click on the application icon and it will show menus for the application including recent opened files.

Multiple Desktop Background: You can set the background to change every any time you want, or right click and on the menu, click on Next Desktop Background Picture.

Upgraded Tablet PC Input Panel: It detects the handwriting faster, and there are more functions including splitting and joining. You can even edit words from text application directly using this panel.

Faster load: Every click loads fast. I mean very fast. As if there’s no loading time.

Windows Media Center: I like it that you can do exploring while the video are still playing… on the background. I adore the new Media Center. image

Math Input Panel: Just write and it shows the type.

Calculator: 4 modes Standard, Scientific, Programmer and Statistics. Convenient!

Other things that I like includes snapping to the upper side will maximize the explorer and snapping on the left or right side will make it half full. And shaking the title bar will minimize all other explorer. That’s just brilliant.

Overall, for me Windows 7 is way much better than Vista. Performance is higher, graphic is smoother and slicker. I love evrything about it. I actually have no problem regarding the new taskbar. I like it. A lot. And I will certainly buy it when it is released. Thank you Microsoft for sharing.
